  • We will find out how stories can be shown in different ways.
  • We will do some more acting of the stories we know.

We have counted to 20 and found one more and one less, using number lines.
  • We will learn the number bonds to five.
  • We will start adding by counting on.
Topic
We filled in self and peer questionnaires to find out more about ourselves and others.
We have pretended to be builders, architects, designers and actors.

  • We will be continuing to find out about ourselves, focusing on things we are good at.
PSHE

  • We will be consider different emotions.
Notices and Events
  • The Scholastic deadline is Monday 5th September.  Please bring in any outstanding orders and money by this date.
  • Please be aware that, as per the school policy, if a child cannot swim, they will need a doctor’s note. No swim = no play: If a child cannot swim, they will not be able to play.
  • Homework will be given out on Monday and is due in on Friday.
  • As part of Y1C’s unit of inquiry, I am looking for people to come in and talk about their abilities and passions for five minutes.
  • If you have a particularly interesting ability or passion, and do not mind joining our class and talking about it for a short while, please let me know.
  • Also, as part of our inquiry unit, ‘Who We Are’, it would be great if children could make a collage about ‘Things I Am Good At’ at home.  This could be using drawn pictures or photos of children doing different activities.
