I have added the videos here so that you can have a little practice at home.

This week's home learning - Tongue Twisters!

As part of our current learning, we have been looking at Tongue Twisters. These are phrases that you say quickly, but they often get muddles up the faster you say them!

Tongue twisters are a great way for children to learn more about letter sounds and about vocabulary.

Here is a link to the tongue twisters we have been learning in class

For home-learning this week I would like children to practice tongue twisters. Please make a video and email it me so that I can put it on the Blog.

Have fun!

Imaginaria!

RJ and RP had a fabulous time at Imaginaria. It's a wonderful child-centered place where children are free to explore and investigate. There are also some wonderful physical activities that allow children to burn off energy!
Here are some pictures and videos of some of the activities we carried out. Unfortunately, some photos and videos did not send successfully to my email, so I do apologise if some children are missing.

Christmas Concert Costumes!

Dear Parents,
Please be reminded that children should bring green clothing for their concert costume.
The concert will be n December 10th at 9am in the Secondary Gym.
Please send the costumes well before this date.
Please see Neasha's costume for ideas (boys should wear trousers!!)
In school next week we will be making Christmas tree hats and jingle bell bracelets to go with our costumes.

Please don't forget to send a gift wrapped book with your child's name on so that Santa can give everyone a present after the show! Ho Ho Ho!!

Class activities this week

We have continued with our topic of Stick Man. This week we have asked the question, "Where does water come from?" This leads on nicely from last week's question: "Can sticks grow?"

Here are some of the answers the children gave:

As part of this investigation, the children tried some watermelon.

Here are some other things we have been doing in class and in the playground. Please ask your child to explain each picture as this will aid recall and language development.

We had a visit from Yr 4M today. RJ and 4M are reading buddies and meet once a week to share books together.

Mr. Geoff visits the class to watch a phonics lesson.

Home Learning 17.11.15

As part of our Stick Man topic we have been learning about where water comes from and how we use it.
For home learning this week I would like children to take photos of water sources and water uses. They could make a simple book or you could email the pictures to me.

Here is an example of a simple zig-zag book that you could make:

Please send books to school so that children can share them with their friends.
