This week's home-learning 8.9.15

So, now that you have made a writing area for your child it's time to build on this.
Name writing is a very important skill for Reception children and its something that can take time to achieve. Children must practice writing their name regularly in order to really grasp it.
For home-learning this week I would like children to write their name in unusual places! Take photos and email them to me so that we can share them in class. Feel free to take as many photos as you can. More the better!
I have put children's names here so you can see how to form them correctly. Encourage children to start all letters from the top (except d and e which start in the middle).

Some examples of crazy name writing could be:
  • write your name on the bathroom mirror after you take a shower
  • write your name with chalk on the drive-way
  • write your name with ketchup on the kitchen work-top
  • write your name with shampoo in the bath tub
Have fun! And don't forget to email pictures to me!

Here are some pictures from Panboon and Grandae. I love the lipstick pictures!

Alex in his new writing area!

Neasha makes her name using biscuits! Yum! (I wonder if she ate them afterwards?!)

Meleah uses a stick to write her name!
