Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 27th February - Friday 3rd March

 

	This Week	After Half Term
English	We started our topic on Fables, reading ‘The Boy who cried Wolf’ and ‘The Hare and the Tortoise’.	We will be reading and retelling ‘The Lion and the Mouse’ and ‘The Farmer’s Son’s’.
Maths	We counted backward and forwards in 10s and worked out which items were lighter than others.	We will start multiplying.
Topic	We have made a great start on our new topic - thank you for the photos!  We did a scavenger hunt on the playground and have starting drawing from a bird’s eye view.	We will try and draw a map of our classroom.
PSHE	We talked about what we did over the Half Term.	We will be deciding what makes a good person.
Optional Homework	Draw five things from a bird’s eye view.
Notices and Events	If you have any more photos of your local environment, please send them in. Homework will be given out on Monday and is due in on Friday.
