Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 6th February - Friday 10th February

English	We have written fantasy stories.	We will be reading Australian stories and writing postcards.
Maths	We checked we know the days of the week in order and measured and recorded time.	We will make up our own maths games.
Topic	We used different materials to create characters.	We will be reflecting on the unit.
PSHE	We thought about good learning.	We will be talking about keeping ourselves safe in the sun.
Optional Homework	Find out any facts you can about the country we are focusing on next week for ‘International Week’, Australia!
Notices and Events	International Day will will on Friday 17th February and your child is encouraged to come in dressed as an Australian child, in shorts and t-shirts. Half Term is Monday 20th February - Friday 24th February. Homework will be given out on Monday and is due in on Friday. Mr Renie’s weekly newsletter is posted on  http://ascoteypynews.blogspot.com/ . You are still welcome to come and chat to me about your child on Mondays between 3.10pm and 4.00pm.
