Home learning - 26.1.16

For home learning this week I would like children to practice reading and writing numbers from 1-20. The children are very good at recognising numbers, but need a little help to write them.

Go on a number walk around your house and garden and get your child to read out and write down all the number they find. Encourage them to pay attention to correct formation (start at the top!).

Children could write numbers on the floor, on the window, and on paper. You could use chalk, pens, lipstick!

Perhaps you could make a zig-zag book of numbers 1-20. Here are some examples of zig-zag books:

This week we have learnt to play a new game called X and O. The children enjoyed the game, but need to practice some more. Please practice at home with chalk on the floor in the garden, on paper, or on a white board.
