Class activities this week.

For phonics today we learnt the letter sound for 'x'. To reinforce the sounds we learnt how to play X AND O. You may of played this as a child as this game has been popular for years!
You could try playing this for home learning. The children almost understand the rules, so they made need some practice before really mastering it.

The weather has been so nice this week that we have extended our outdoor playtimes. Today we went on a safari and saw dinosaurs! Please ask your child to tell you all about it.

We also practiced slicing using the playdough and plastic knives. This is a great skill which helps develop small muscle strength and hand-eye coordination.

For Guided Reading this week, we went outside. Books and fresh air are a great combination!

As it has been cold, the children have been practicing putting their jackets on and fastening zips. This is a very tricky skill and children should always be encouraged to do this by themselves.

And finally, Meleah models for our new EY tabard.
