Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 22nd May - Friday 26th May

English	We started our topic on mystery stories.	We will continue thinking about mystery stories.
Maths	We recognised odd and even numbers and  counted in 2s, 5s and 10s.	We will be telling the time from analogue and digital clocks.
Topic	We role played different jobs and thought about what responsibilities people have.	We will sort jobs out into different groups.
PSHE	We have talked about why we need different people in our community.	We will discuss our hopes for the summer.
Optional Homework	Go to your local swimming pool and practise swimming in time for Ascot’s Swimming Gala in a couple of weeks.
Notices and Events	Homework will be given out on Monday and is due in on Friday. Mr Renie’s weekly newsletter is posted on  http://ascoteypynews.blogspot.com/ . You are still welcome to come and chat to me about your child on Mondays between 3.10pm and 4.00pm.   Miss Yell is still helping in our class this term in order to provide more individualised attention to each child.
