Summer Projects
Here are some projects you may wish to complete over the Summer break and bring them to school in August to discuss with your new teacher.
I recommend picking 3 or 4 to complete to a high standard.
I hope you have a wonderful break and look forward to hearing about it in August!

3D shapes
Go on a 3D shape hunt around your home. You could draw a table like this one and then draw or name the objects you find under the correct shape. Try to find three for each 3D shape!

Create your own planet. What is the planet’s name? What is the surface like? Does anything live on the planet? Does it have any moons?

History
Make a personal timeline of your life showing something you did each year..

Cooking
Follow a recipe to make cookies!

Telling the time
Look at a clock. Can you read the time to O’clock and half past? What time will you be going out? What time are you eating tea?

Designing
Design and make your own game.
Some suggestions:
A cardboard jigsaw
A peg doll or finger puppet
A simple marble run A magnetic fishing game

Reading
Read five books you have not read before and tell your friend about your favourite one.

Science
Complete the celery stick investigation.

Art
Use your handprint to create different animals.
|
