Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 15th May - Friday 19th May

 

	This Week	Next week
English	We created persuasive leaflets to encourage people to look after plants.	We will begin looking at explanatory texts.
Maths	We measured and compared weight and capacity.	We will work on halves and quarters.
Topic	We thought about how plants are connected to people, buildings and animals.	We will finish our topic about plants sustaining life on Earth and playing a role in our lives.
PSHE	We made awesome posters of our dreams for the future.	We will make and give another person a card to tell them why we like them.
Optional Homework	Learn/practise tying your laces.
Notices and Events	Next week is Science week and we will be completing a range of experiments, culminating in an exciting Science Day on Friday! Homework will be given out on Monday and is due in on Friday. Mr Renie’s weekly newsletter is posted on  http://ascoteypynews.blogspot.com/ . You are still welcome to come and chat to me about your child on Mondays between 3.10pm and 4.00pm.   Miss Yell is still helping in our class this term in order to provide more individualised attention to each child.
