Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 1st May - Friday 5th May

English	We have written persuasive sentences using connectives.	We will be writing a persuasive leaflet.
Maths	We focused on adding and subtracting.	We will be measuring and comparing weight and capacity.
Topic	We have recorded our results from our plant investigation looking at what plants need to grow.	We will consider how plants are connected to other things.
PSHE	We drew pictures of good and bad decisions.	We will think about our dreams for the future.
Optional Homework	If you planted some seeds last week, keep looking after them and record what happens.
Notices and Events	On Tuesday 9th May, we will be briefly visiting Freshville Farm.  Please return your child’s permission slip if you have not done so already. There will be no school on Wednesday 10th May. Homework will be given out on Monday and is due in on Friday. Mr Renie’s weekly newsletter is posted on  http://ascoteypynews.blogspot.com/ . You are still welcome to come and chat to me about your child on Mondays between 3.10pm and 4.00pm.   Miss Yell is still helping in our class this term in order to provide more individualised attention to each child.
